Casual, cafeteria style BBQ joint. Very homey feel inside. Friendly staff. I had the meat sampler, the portions are large, for sure. The brisket and ribs were really good. The other meats were kind of lackluster. The coleslaw wasn't anything to write home about, either. However, the cornbread was delicious and I generally don't like cornbread. I would give it another try if I was in the neighborhood.

The food is full of flavor. It is very tasty. I would have liked more sauce. That is my only suggestion. The GM Amy went above and beyond to make sure our service was good. I will definitely be looking forward to going back. The ambiance is great. It is aimed for the customer satisfaction.

Joe's Real BBQ is hands-down one of the best barbecue spots I've ever visited! From the moment you walk in, the warm, inviting atmosphere sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they really know how to make you feel at home. The food is phenomenal. The smoked brisket is tender and full of flavor, with just the right amount of smokiness. The pulled pork practically melts in your mouth, and the ribs are fall-off-the-bone perfection. Their homemade barbecue sauces are the perfect complement to the meats, whether you prefer sweet, tangy, or spicy. And let's not forget about the sides - the mac and cheese is creamy and comforting, the baked beans are rich and flavorful, and the cornbread is the perfect balance of moist and crumbly. Everything tastes homemade and authentic. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the overall experience is just fantastic. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or planning a family meal, Joe's Real BBQ is a place you'll want to return to again and again. Highly recommend!

Someone at my work talked about Joe's and I had to go try it for myself. I have always gone to Topo but had never tried Joe's. This time, I went to both spots. I ended hi trying the chopped brisket and pulled pork with cheesy potatoes and a Mac n cheese. After trying the food, I can see why the line was so long. It was awesome!! The meats were cooked perfectly and the flavor was intensely delicious. The sides were also equally as delicious and I couldn't wait to take some home for some leftovers the next day. The only suggestion would be to have bottled sauces to take to the tables since the condiment area gets very congested. I know I'll definitely be back.

The brisket is really moist and so good! The pull pork sandwich is pretty good too. I also really liked the Mac and cheese and corn bread as sides. I like the ambience. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat in a booth inside. Not many people in the afternoon. We went around 4pm on Sunday. I just love downtown Gilbert in general, many cool restaurants and shops.

5 stars all the way. Joes gave me a birthday meal up to $14. That is simply amazing. The food is very good and I like how it's cafeteria style with friendly people working there. Ambiance is very casual and welcoming.

Hands down, one of the best BBQ spots in Gilbert! The food here is delicious! We get the 4 Meat Platter to get a nice sample of all of it. Highly recommend if it's your first time visiting. Definitely enough to share, too! Their meat is so juicy and cooked so well. Love getting their chicken here! They also have a ton of sides to pick from - the Mac and Cheese and Cheesy Potatoes are very good! You definitely need to try all the sauces! Personally, I think the Golden Sauce is the best. Goes on everything! But the mild and hot BBQs are great as well! It's a great vibe at Joe's Real BBQ - sitting outside is the best. Huge play area with corn hole and ping pong! The line here can get super long during peak dinner times! It's so worth the wait, though. If you're looking for some good BBQ, Joe's has to be on your list to try!

What a wild and happening BBQ place. Way south from where I lived or I'd come more often. Rivals the best in Texas. Lots of indoor seating and some covered outside. Food portions and selection were good! The brisket, ribs and pork was all great, sausage MEH. The baked potato rocked as did the corn, cornbread and coleslaw.

My bf and I stopped here for lunch and it was so tasty! We split a four meat sampler and ended up with leftovers. The ribs were smoky and tender. I had the chicken leg which was also yummy. Not usually a fan of dark meat, but the chicken leg left my taste buds happy. The potato salad was so good and I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that it used red potatoes. Yum! The Mac n cheese was hot and cheesy. I loved eating the honey butter with the corn bread. The bbq sauces were also really good. The hot one is HOT! The house sauce was my favorite. I loved coming here during lunch since dinner is always busy. We were able to walk up and order and sit and eat without worrying about finding a table. The inside has lots of tables but obviously the food is so good that usually they're all full.
